Klitschko talks to Kyivans who take refuge in the metro

03.03.2022

In a Telegram post Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko told that he went down to a metro station to talk with Kyivans who take refuge there.

Klitschko: My dear Kyivans, my friends!

We all live under martial law now. The situation in Kyiv is tough but controllable.

Being on an oversight tour throughout the city I went down to a metro station which was turned into a shelter. Talked with people who have been staying there for a few days already taking refuge.

Kyivans are patriotic and remain determined and all of them are sending words of gratitude to our army.

The municipal authority does everything possible to ensure a safe and stable infrastructure operation. Also, the city is being prepared for any tough developments of the situation. We set up roadblocks and various obstacles on roads and imposed a curfew.

I call on everyone to respect the safety rules. I am certain that together we will overcome this hardest challenge in our history. Together we will win!

Glory to Ukraine!
