Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko and Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner opened the Kyiv Investment Forum, which this year was jointly organized by the city administrations of the two capitals in Berlin. The forum is held under the slogan “Investing in Resilience. Shaping the Future.”

The event brought together investors, representatives of European city authorities, businesses, and international partners to discuss joint solutions and identify projects for Kyiv’s post-war recovery and for strengthening European resilience. Klitschko reported this on his Telegram channel.

“Mr. Wegner and I signed a memorandum of understanding on joint efforts to restore direct railway connections between Kyiv and Berlin. This will promote economic ties between our capitals, improve logistics, and make travel more convenient for our citizens,” Klitschko said.

The Mayor of Kyiv is also discussing cooperation and support for Kyiv and Ukraine with the mayors of Brussels, Vilnius, Wrocław, and Poznań during the forum.

“At the initiative of the Berlin City Hall, we also signed a memorandum on promoting innovation and entrepreneurship between the Kyiv City State Administration and the Berlin Senate. It provides for the implementation of technological projects that will, in particular, help integrate Kyiv-based companies into the EU’s innovation ecosystem,” Klitschko added.
