The Kyiv Velodrome

The city government together with civic and cycling community saved the Kyiv velodrome from unauthorised development. In 2017 it reopened after revamp, ending 13 years of neglect. Built in 1913 the track is now one of the best in Europe, a great sports facility that revives the sport of track cycling. The velodrome is also a home for children cycle school that offer free training lessons. 

The track is 285,714 meters long and eight meters wide. It banks around 38° and can host 32 riders simultaneously racing at a speed of 75 kph.
