The first phase of renovations unveiled: May 25, 2020
In 2020 the city zoo cut the ribbon on the first phase of reconstruction including a new entrance, a public parking garage with a 500-car capacity, refurbished buildings, public restrooms and a first-aid post. There are also a new enclosure for birds and animals, a pelican pavilion, cleaned ponds and a gazebo. Soon a new monkey pavilion will be installed.
A 15-metre-long figure of a giraffe and famous sculptures of a pair of lions and a wisent that are the symbol of the Kyiv zoo meet the visitors.
The second phase of renovations is now in full swing.
