More than 1,100 residential buildings in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts remain without heating following a massive enemy attack on the capital’s critical infrastructure. The city is deploying additional heating support points in local schools in neighborhoods where buildings have been left without heat. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel.
“The infrastructure facility that supplies heat to these buildings was severely damaged last night. Specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage and the prospects for restoration. This morning, water was drained from the heating systems in these more than 1,100 buildings to prevent freezing,” Klitschko wrote.
He also noted that the city is setting up additional heating support points in schools located in the affected neighborhoods.
“At present, there are five additional support points connected to mobile boiler units in the Darnytskyi district and four in the Dniprovskyi district, where people can stay both during the day and at night. In addition, the State Emergency Service is deploying 36 heating points in Darnytsia (across 20 locations) and 27 heating points in the Dniprovskyi district (also across 20 locations),” Vitali Klitschko wrote.
Addresses of the heating points are available on the official resources of the district state administrations, the city authorities, and the State Emergency Service.
