Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko briefs on the current situation in Kyiv

10.03.2022

The Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko continues to provide information on the situation in Kyiv.

Klitschko: My dear Kyivans, my friends!

The Kyiv municipality does everything to ensure reliable city services. Utility services are being provided, there is access to heating, hot water, power and Internet connection. Most groceries and pharmacies operate as normal.

But the capital city lives under the threat of attack. This is why together with the army, Territorial Defence Forces we are focusing on stepping up the defence measures. Also, we continue to deliver the food and equipment that have been donated by our friends.

We stand ready to fight the aggressor who yearns for Ukraine’s heart. Heavy fights are ongoing outside Kyiv. The municipality helps the region evacuate the residents of Hostomel, Bucha, Vorzel and Irpin. Tens of thousands of people were evacuated over the last two days. The city provides transportation to Kyiv and further to Western Ukraine.

My dear Ukrainians! Today we are the one. Our heart aches for our country. Our goal is to free our Ukraine from the horde of the Orks and defend our future.

People of Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr as well as other towns and cities of Ukraine are deep in our hearts.

We are strong together. Ukrainians are a freedom-loving nation, with a heroic army. We will keep standing!

Glory to Ukraine!
