Klitschko brothers address Kyivans and international partners on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

24.02.2022

Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko together with his brother Wladimir addressed the Kyivans and international partners on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Dear Ukrainians, dear Kyivans! The steps Russia has made is a big tragedy both for Ukraine and for the entire Europe. But I am certain that we will endure thanks to our spirit and strength. The essential city services operate smoothly, there are power, hot water and heating in your homes. The public transport operates as normal. By the way, rides are free of charge now. But I would like to urge everyone to avoid travelling without a valid reason, please stay home and keep calm! We are working to ensure safety in Kyiv and have the situation under control. We are in contact with our militaries who defend our country. We have to endure!” declared Klitschko.

Wladimir Klitschko stressed that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine can expand into not only Europe but also the whole world. “ I am addressing our international partners. Today we have a tragedy in Ukraine, in our home. This tragedy and most senseless war can come also to your homes, can spread to Europe and across the world. We must join efforts to stop the aggression, to stop a war where there will be no winners. We have to put up a united front against the Russian aggression. We are strongest together! Please support Ukraine!” emphasised Wladimir.
